A Modern, Elegant Boathouse Wedding

Freelance Choreographer married Freelance Writer on 13th July this past year at London.

.

Their day was filled with DIY and incredibly personal, meaningful touches. I must admit that a little tear found my eyes as I was composing this piece and browsing Elizabeth's words below…

"This procedure for choosing bridesmaid dresses was tricky once we were all scattered all over the planet leading up to the marriage so the only time I saw the dresses together was around the day… it was fairly stressful however it worked. I sent the bridesmaids a color pallet months ahead of time and they chose their very own dresses. Two of the bridesmaids were heavily pregnant so it had been really important they believed their best without an excessive amount of interference from me."

"All the bridesmaids and my hair ended at. This was this type of pleasant experience and I loved getting the pamper using the bridesmaids before we got dressed."

The pageboys looked cute with their outfits. The little flower girls wore tulle girls dresses.

"Sonny chose his outfit and also the groomsmen outfits himself. He has an excellent eye for clothing and I was the main one consulting him on my small choices throughout the process. He wore a jacket, waistcoat, and tie, a white shirt, and shoes."

"Our wedding was delivered with a registrar from Hackney council. They allowed the process to become smooth and asked all of the right questions."

"Our word is a precious and powerful thing and for me, our vows were an enormous part of our marriage. We took some time and spoke with others about how they'd decided on their vows. I was incredibly stuck and felt the pressure of living as much as my commitment for the rest of my entire life."

"Sonny and I met through mutual friends, I was instantly intrigued by each other after our initial introduction at Ridley Road Market Bar in 2013. Sonny and I both desired to propose on the trip he'd booked to Vienna in 2016."

"I didn't think he would get around to asking me and I, therefore, desired to pop the question about this trip."

"My mum convinced me to keep off and provide him time, I did, and that he asked me to marry him on the Ferris wheel overlooking Vienna. We then wandered the streets and heard beautiful music playing within an old Roman church and once we walked in, there is a rehearsal with more than 40 instrumentalists playing in an orchestra. It was a genuine pinch me a moment."

"Due towards the lead as much as our wedding being over three years we'd had many conversations about what this day truly represented for all of us. These conversations and staying true to ourselves are what fuelled all of our decisions for that day."

"We were keen to produce a day which was focussed on our friends and families uniting and which makes it as personal and authentic as you possibly can. We chose to have all of our siblings as groomsmen and bridesmaids and achieve their input throughout am special."

Words of Wedded Wisdom

"I would say take time to become with your newlywed through the day, simply take a sneaky moment in some places to check along with each other. The day passes so fast and maybe overwhelming therefore you must take a moment to possess time only the two individuals to soak everything in."

"Don't sweat the little stuff, if something doesn't go as planned there's nothing you can do just count your blessings and move ahead."
