RainForest Mushroom Company
This Oregon Coast family has been growing organic certified Oregon Tilth for 30 years and is best known for its active medicinal mushrooms. They also grow shiitake mushrooms, oyster mushrooms, buttercap mushrooms, scallop mushrooms and four lion mushrooms. They have a Stanley Park Coyotes of dried mushrooms and home-grown kits if you feel the DIY spirit.
Mushroomery
The variety of mushrooms produced by Mushroomery is amazing. Both naturally grown and naturally designed in the foothills of the Cascade mountains, these mycologists offer mushroom tinctures, mushroom powder, dried mushrooms and, of course, fresh mushrooms. Mount Pisgah Arboretum Mushroom Festival
Held in October, this one-day annual event attracts mushroom hunters and enthusiasts from across the region. Browse the exhibit of over 300 local animals, consult experts on mushroom identification, take a nature guided tour and learn about mushroom cooking.

Joriad North American Truffle Dog Championship
Watch the Joriad North American Truffle Dog Championship as truffle dogs compete for a scent target at Lane Events Center. This is a really fun event to watch for both dog lovers and truffle! Earlier, the competition was accompanied by other Oregon Truffle Festival events celebrating Oregon truffles, but those local dinners, markets and tourism were suspended due to the epidemic at this time.

Do you want to find your own edible mushrooms? Immersion in nature to eat mold can be a fun journey - but to be safe and successful it is important that you educate yourself first and consult a local specialist. Go with the guide (ask if they offer a special mushroom tour or know Stanley Park Coyotes who does it) or do a mushroom identification course (if in doubt, discard it!).
