My name is Emilie Seitz. This email isn't concerning myself but instead my sister, Alison who's pushing the date of her original wedding because of COVID-19. When COVID-19 hit and she or he needed to alter plans I very "matter of factly" gave her an order and sequence by which I would start re-planning things. The one thing that I wasn't prepared for was when she asked, "What about my dress?". There was no "logic" I could leave her with when her wedding gown is supposed to symbolize the start of a brand new beginning. What kind of beginning was this said to be? We both started wearing down in tears. Tears were so not the same as the ones shared whenever we first selected her gown 8 months ago.
Alison works full-time being an Occupational Therapist within the Ohio School district. She is still working at home every day making conference calls to the parents of pre-school and elementary kids who depend on her services now as part of yours. She uses every free second she's to plan her backup ceremony including a brand new venue, flowers, and a brand new dress. She has been incredibly resilient through all this.
